In a 35 year career as a financial journalist I have worked for S&P Marketscope, AFX News, Thomson Financial News, Reuters, the Mail Online's Money channel, This Is Money, and Proactive Investor.
Since turning freelance in 2023, I have provided cover writing the stock market report for the Daily Mail. I also have provided content for Armchair Trader.
As Senior Market Analyst for AC Capital, I provide reports on Australian Thursdays and Fridays.
I have regularily provided the morning Business Report for Mark Butcher's Breakfast Show on WRS, Swiss radio in English. I also discussed the outcome of the 2024 UK general election with Mark. You can hear my clips here, and here, and here.
Away from finance, I have written a murder mystery set on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, 'Wolves in Sheep's Clothing', for which I am seeking an agent and a publisher. I have begun a sequel and envisage a third volume featuring some of the same characters, all set on Anguilla.
I have also self-published two slim memoirs, both of which are available to buy via my author page at Amazon.
My first book, 'Clarence Parade' is a memoir of my beer and drug-fuelled times at Portsmouth Polytechnic in the 1980's. Here is a 'Portsmouth News' article about 'Clarence Parade'.
The latest book, ‘First Memories: An Anguillian Adventure’ is about my father’s time as a London Metropolitan Police constable on the Caribbean island following the 1969 British ‘invasion’ to quell the Anguillian Revolution.
