In a near 35 year career as a financial journalist I have worked for S&P Marketscope, AFX News, Thomson Financial News, Reuters, the Mail Online's Money channel, This Is Money, and Proactive Investor.
Since turning freelance, in 2024 I have provided cover writing the stock market report for the Daily Mail. I also provide contet for Armchair Trader.
I am, as well, a senior markets analyst for AC Capital providing reports on Australian Thursdays and Fridays.
I guested on Mark Butcher's Breakfast Show on WRS, Swiss radio in English, discussing the outcome of the last UK general election. You can hear my clips here, and here, and here.
Away from finance, I have written a murder mystery set on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, 'Wolves in Sheep's Clothing', for which I am seeking an agent and a publisher. I have begun a sequel and envisage a third volume featuring some of the same characters, all set on Anguilla.
I have also self-published two slim memoirs, the latest being ‘First Memories: An Anguillian Adventure’ which is about my father’s time as a London Metropolitan Police constable on the Caribbean island following the 1969 British ‘invasion’ to quell the Anguillian Revolution.
My first book 'Clarence Parade' is a memoir of my beer and drug-fuelled times at Portsmouth Polytechnic in the 1980's. Here is a 'Portsmouth News' article about 'Clarence Parade'.
Both are available to buy via my author page at Amazon.
